The 4 Basic Steps
These are my 4 basic steps, regardless of day or night.

If you're looking to start a routine, begin with cleansing & moisturizing.

If you have a routine & want to test a new product, swap only 1 new product into your routine to experiment for a time. This allows a clear evaluation of the product's benefits.
1 / Cleanse
Whether this soap or a double cleanse, removing impurities from our day to treat our skin is the main goal.
2 / Tone
Using a toner helps PH levels so treatment of the skin can be absorbed. If a monetary investment upfront is a concern. Check out this apple cider vinegar toner recipe--warning it will smell like vinegar since it's simply that!
3 / Serum (optional)
The serum is optional, but critical when looking to improve a specific aspect of our skin (ie. dark spots, texture, redness, brightening, fine lines, etc.)
4 / Moisturize
Don't forget the SPF in the morning; check out my article about how you can use your medical account to buy your SPF here
